Teresa:

Have you ever taken advice from a coach or watched an expert do something and try to replicate it and it just did not work and then you thought you’re the problem? And it wasn’t until I did the Wealth Dynamics test and spoke to today’s guest that I realized why that was the case. If you, like me, are interested in learning more about yourself and how you best work, then today’s episode is for you.

Hello and welcome to this week’s episode of the Your Dream Business Podcast. I am your host, Teresa Heath Wareing, and I am very grateful to have you join me. I genuinely mean that. I know your time is so very precious.

And if you’re like me, you are listening to this while doing something else. Normally I’m getting ready in the morning and it’s a toss up between listening to a podcast or an audio book. So the fact that you are listening to me. Honestly, I am so grateful because you have lots of options out there and I really [00:02:00] appreciate you being here and I’m not going to waste your time.

I try and bring you the best of guests, the most effective strategies and tactics. And today is going to be a really, really good episode because if you’re like me, you love a personality test. I love them. I have done Enneagram, Myers Briggs, Human Design, Money Archetypes. I have done so many and I find them all so fascinating.

But one of the tests I hadn’t done was Wealth Dynamics. Now I met today’s guest some time ago, Osmaan Sharif. I met him at an event. We were speaking together and he asked me if I had done the wealth dynamics test. I said, no. And I literally looked at the options and he looked at the option. I’ll say he knew the options and he said, you’re a star profile.

And I read who else was a star profile. And I went, yes, I think I’m a star profile. However, in preparation for this episode, I decided to actually take [00:03:00] the test. I did it through his website. We’ll make sure we link up to that in the show notes because it’s actually cheaper to do it through his site than it was to do it through the main site.

So I did it through his site and I did the test and it was fascinating. However, what was truly fascinating was when Osmaan and I got chatting actually before the episode, but we do talk about it on the episode, I shared with Osmaan that I was really struggling and I shared a story of that I had started something in my business and, and it just wasn’t going well.

I wasn’t enjoying it as much as I could and I kind of dreaded seeing it in my diary. And Osmaan and I had a conversation and he said to me, because he saw a copy of my results because it was done through his site. And he said to me, can I talk you through your results? And I said, yes. And he talked me through what my results were and he said, there’s no wonder you don’t like the thing that you’ve set up.

Because actually when I look at your wealth dynamics report, it tells me that you would hate that. And he [00:04:00] said, if you and I were going to work together and you would come to me and said, I want to start doing this particular service, he said, I would have told you to avoid it because you would not like it.

And it was honestly, within like 15 minutes, I felt a million times better. And I made an immediate change and that change has now come to fruition in the business and I am stopping or reducing massively that thing that I was doing because it just wasn’t fitting with me. And this is kind of the point, when I work with people, I ensure I take time to get to know them.

And like I said, I tend to get my people, my clients, my membership to do things like Enneagram and Myers Briggs and money archetypes. So I can get an idea of who they are and how they like to work. And if you’ve done something before, or if you’ve taken someone’s advice and it didn’t work, you might be sat there thinking, what is wrong with me?

Well, the truth is there’s nothing wrong with you. That tactic, that strategy just wasn’t for you because not everyone’s the same. So therefore not everything is going to work for everyone. [00:05:00] And this is what this episode is all about. Osmaan works with the wealth dynamics profiling, and he uses it to coach his audience and to coach his clients.

And in today’s episode, We talk through the effect of doing a test like this. And like I said, I share a bit of my story in terms of what’s happened to me at the, at the time. And then he talks us through all the different profiles of the wealth dynamics and what it means. And more importantly, how that has an effect on how you want to show up in your business and the things that you want to do in your business.

And the truth is, when you find out things like this about yourself, it’s really empowering. Because up until that point, you’re thinking, what’s wrong with me? Why doesn’t this work for me? Or why am I not enjoying this? And when you find out that actually this is my personality, and this is the way I like to work, and this is what works for me, you suddenly go, oh, that makes perfect sense.

And actually, I think we all just need a bit more empathy for ourselves in business and in life. So that’s never a bad thing in my book. If you think [00:06:00] this episode is going to resonate with someone else, I would really appreciate you sharing it with them. Also, when I have a guest on, I love it so much, and I know they do.

If you share it on social and tag us in, or DM them, or anything that kind of says that you enjoyed this episode, and Osmaan, I’m sure would love that. So without further ado, here’s Osmaan. Welcome to the podcast, the amazing Osmaan Sharif. Osmaan, how are you doing?

Osmaan:

I’m very well. I’m super excited to have a chat with you.

I know our chats always are really juicy, so I’m excited to get into today’s.

Teresa:

Me too. And truth be known, we’ve already just talked for about 20 minutes about what we’re going to talk about today, so I hope we don’t ruin it. We just have to repeat a few things. So, Osmaan, you’re a coach, but one of the areas in which you coach specifically around, which is music to my ears because I am a big fan of a personality test, is the wealth dynamics.

So could you just start us off by [00:07:00] explaining what that is and how Why you chose to either pick that specifically or something to go along with your coaching.

Osmaan:

Absolutely. So for me, I absolutely am all about people. Okay. So that’s kind of rooted into what I started. I started off as a HR manager in the corporate world, thinking that’s a role to help people realizing quite quickly it wasn’t.

I deal with all the fun parts. That’s the part that fascinates me, but also frustrates me Teresa, because we know that Not every human being is the same, right? But what I found really quickly was that when I was coaching individuals and I used to do lots of NLP courses and, you know, neuro linguistic programming is, I’d be in the room and it’d be, I could say the same thing to a group of people and some people would go and they would just make it happen and they’d find it really easy, but others would still find it really challenging.

They’re still following the same process or the same strategies. But it was like they were pushing a boulder up a hill, they were burning out, [00:08:00] or they were kind of starting to have lots of mindset challenges to go, I can’t do this. But then when I remembered that thing, that we are all different and going back to my HR days, I’ve done all tests under the sun, you know, Myers Briggs, DISC and insight and all that.

So I was really aware of it. And then one of my peers early in my business, so it was probably about four years after I started my business said to me, have you done the wealth dynamics test? And at that point I was like, I’ve done them all. I, you know, I know me, blah, blah, blah. And, and she’s like, no, no, this one’s really for business owners.

So I thought, right, being curious, I did it and I came through as a trader profile and I’ll go through what that means in a moment. Yeah. And you know, on one hand it was just this like relief. I was going, okay, that sold me. But then on the other hand, I was really frustrated thinking I’ve been trying to play the wrong game over those previous four years.

Thinking that was the right way to do it. So that really then got me intrigued. I [00:09:00] then combined my, my training around NLP. I then went to get trained in wealth dynamics and I’ve been using that since. Honestly, Teresa, I do not work with a coaching client, or any business owner until I know which of their profiles are, because otherwise.

It’s so easy to give people the wrong advice. It’d be like going to the doctor and giving them one symptom like, Oh, I want to feel better. And the doctor would say, Hey, take this medication. They don’t. They need to know like your, your, like your issues, the symptoms of what does that look like to that? So they can give you a specific prescription.

And that’s what I see. So even though people could be well intentioned by giving advice or people like me and you or your listeners. I’m sure they listen to podcasts. They go to conferences. Tell me if you’ve ever experienced this, you know, you go to a conference and you hear something, you go, I should do this.

The next speaker comes on and they basically tell you to do the opposite thing, right? Or follow the opposite strategy. And instead of leaving inspired from that conference, you actually walk away more confused to going, what am I doing? Second [00:10:00] guess myself. But if we really know what our Wealth Dynamics profile is, I call it your entrepreneurial superpower.

is because it is that superpower. It allows you to go, ah, that’s the best things for me to do, or thank you, but no thank you for other things. And it stops that distraction and it keeps you really focused and much more confident in what you do. So that’s, that’s why I am such a firm believer of it.

Teresa:

Yeah. I love that.

And I love, as you, I have done everything and it is so reassuring when you go, ah, of course, of course that makes sense. Yeah. But one thing that is so interesting about this is the fact that I’ve just come on and spoke to Osmaan and was like, you know, I’m, I’m, you know, struggling a bit at the moment and there’s a few things in the business and he literally, cause I just did the test about a few hours back and he literally just looked at it and went, that makes perfect sense.

And I said to him, which him and I will experience a lot. When you work with someone or when someone says, you should do this, right? And it comes from a good place, doesn’t it? Like it comes from a place of [00:11:00] people who have been successful doing something. And then they think, I want to share this with everybody because this is brilliant.

Right? So they, they give you an idea and I took on an idea and it’s really unusual for me to do. So I say, Osmaan, I am. Generally tell me something and I’ll do the opposite. ’cause I am that petulant, but I took, I took it on and then when it hasn’t worked for me because I’m not enjoying it. You kind of think, oh, I’m the problem.

And I think that is the problem with most business owners, with most people, when they take someone else’s suggestion, and it’s not that that was wrong and it’s not that it was forced upon me. I took it and went, okay, this sounds great. Try to do it. It’s not working for me because you, within a very short space of time, like, if you think I work with Osmaan, I’d go say do it because like literally within the first 15 minutes he speaks to me today, which is brilliant.

But help me understand that actually it makes perfect sense why that doesn’t suit you. So, so let’s go through what the wealth dynamic [00:12:00] profiles are.

Osmaan:

Perfect. So in a nutshell, I’m going to be really big picture here, but you can find out more about this on my website, but there’s eight different profiles. And the way I want you to think about this is that that means that there’s like eight different games to play or types of business owners or entrepreneurs.

So you’ve got those business owners that have that gravity towards the top of the wealth dynamic square. So you’ve got those that have lots of what we call dynamo energy. Those are people that are generally are big picture. They’re much more innovative. They tend to see things like, you know, and the horizon in terms of this is where I’m going.

So you’ve got the creator who’s the classic person, give them a blank sheet of paper and they thrive. They’re constantly coming with brand new ideas. They’re really innovative and that’s what, that’s where their magic lies, right? But then the profile next to them is a star profile. And again, I know I’m going to go a bit techie here because I’m a bit grounded, but the difference is between a creator and a star is a star is still [00:13:00] a visionary big picture person, but a star does not need to come up with everything for, you know, from scratch.

But they’re the best at being able to think and go, how do I translate this? How do I then make this a accessible way for my audience. They love being on a stage or with people. That’s where they get their energy and that’s where they come alive, right? So they don’t create, stars don’t always have to create new concepts.

Whereas creators love brand new things. They just want to start their own kind of way. So can you see that, that small distinction? Yeah. I’ve had business people in the past and big picture. But even if they’re trying to play the creator game, that’s a different game compared to the star. It’s like, you know, you’re in the same playground, but you’re just playing with different apparatus and different kind of, you know, equipment.

And then you’ve got mechanics. So mechanics are also really, really big picture. They’re very visionary, but the difference between them is they’re really good at seeing What could be better? They’re better at optimizing, right? They’re [00:14:00] not the best person to have a blank sheet of paper. And that’s where they’re able to look again, like, oh, this, like, let’s say, for example, on a, you know, on a funnel or a launch, they’re quite good at being able to go, If we tweak this a little part, let’s see how it loads better.

Let’s see if it makes it more effective. But they’re not so in the nitty gritty, but they’re really quick at being able to spot that to be improved. That’s where your issue is as well. Just in the same way, if you went to car garage, you give them an idea, they may go, Oh, it’s your phalange that needs replaced, right?

Yeah. And that way. So all I’m trying to emphasize there, there is that those three profiles are all innovative. But they’re innovated in different ways and there’s different games to play around that. Does that make sense? One quick example of this. I remember years ago I was coaching at a retreat in Bali and there was one lady who was getting some success in her business and she was a copywriter.

But her business model and what she was doing was very much more like working with clients, blank sheet of paper, creating all campaigns and everything for them, [00:15:00] like, you know, with her amazing skills. But she came through as a mechanic profile and for her, it was that element of going, Oh, that’s why actually, you know, I’m much better at when I’m in with a business owner and they’ve done something.

I’m so much better at looking at how do we improve it, how do we tweak it rather than starting something from scratch. So that one insight to these, I helped her to completely change her business focus and her model to play a game that’s just much more in line with her path as well.

Teresa:

I love it. And you’re right.

They’re so. It’s interesting that you’ve got this, and I keep looking to the left because I’ve got it on screen so I can see it, this kind of dynamo section, but even though they’re all big thinkers, and they would be visionaries in businesses, I guess, they are all slightly different, because you know what’s super funny, I literally, I was having a nap, I was trying to have a nap before this session, and not specifically for this session, but because I had a break.

And. I had to prepare myself. and I’m lying there [00:16:00] trying to nap and my brain obviously never stops. And I’m, I’m watching someone’s launch at the moment. And I’m like, the launch is genius. And I’m thinking, Oh, I could do some content around this. And I actually said to myself, can’t you just come up with your own thing?

Right. And, and we will get more into me and the fact that I’m the star, but that makes perfect sense. And you know, what else is super interesting. I recently had my human design done. I don’t know whether you, do you know human design?

Osmaan:

I do to the extent, you know, I know very, very little. Yeah.

Teresa:

So, It’s a bit woo for those of you listening, just in case you’re like, Oh, let me go check this out.

It’s based on your time, date, place of birth. And the reason I’ve only just had it done is because I had to have go through a whole rigmarole to find out my time of birth. Because unfortunately, my mom passed away years ago. So she’s the only one who knew. So, and trying to get that information from the NHS proved a little trickier than I thought.

Anyway, so I finally got it the other week and I’m a projector. And a projector. is [00:17:00] exactly how it sounds. They take someone else’s stuff and they project it to everyone else. So again, it’s like, oh man, this stuff is so good. Like, this all makes perfect sense. So instead of beating myself up that I didn’t come up with the original idea, or that it’s not my concept that I did it, like, actually that is where my superpower lies, is to take something else I’ve seen and show it.

Osmaan:

Definitely. And think about this from one of the classic star profiles is Oprah. Okay. But what does Oprah do? It’s not always just about her, but when she shines the light on other causes, people, books, it just massively like, it just takes off. Does that make sense? So, but if she was to be the author of all those books herself, that’s not her, necessarily playing to her superpowers.

So she really knows that that’s where the magic really lies. So stars are really good at Being out there, they tend to be quite extroverted, they tend to kind of move really, really, really quickly. They tend to engage, they tend to inspire with others as well. But that, let me just add the next slide onto it, [00:18:00] right?

So this is where on wealth, and I’m saying on the next side of the square, so you’ve got the right hand side, you’ve got the, the, the blaze energy. These profiles are all about the people, okay? So this is where a star has got that mix between their creative, they’ve got that dynamo energy, but they’re really good at the people perspective.

They’re really good at understanding how is this going to land or how to position it in a way that really makes perfect sense. It really resonates with people. Then you’ve got the supporters. Supporters are those that are not hugely big picture, but they’re not so in the detail, but they are the most naturally nurturing people.

Those are the people that love genuinely networking. They are so good at connecting with other people. And that’s where they get a lot of magic happening just through conversations, through connection. They don’t have to have a huge audience. They don’t have to be in the spotlight, but they. By being that supporter, that’s where their magic comes alive as well, right?

So again, it’s very different from a star profile. And then you’ve got [00:19:00] dealmakers again, very, very, people focused, but again, they’re really good at nurturing relationships. They’re really good at seeing where collaborations can happen. That’s where, you know, in the world that we live in, you’ve got like, you know, estate agents.

I’m just going to use that as an example. They’re that person that bridges the gap between the seller and the buyer. Without them, it’d be really hard for things to happen. So the reason why I’m saying is dealmakers are really good at connecting the dots, working in a collaborative way. They don’t often even need to or want to be out in the forefront, but their magic really happens through, again, The conversations through networks, through really establishing, establishing it.

But their speed is very different from a star stars are very quick and, you know, get relationships really, really quickly. Dealmakers. They are a bit more of a slower burn, but they can have a longer lasting relationships. They’ve got their black book of who do they know, and that’s kind of like the, they’re well connected in that way.

So that’s kind of the [00:20:00] people energy profiles as well. Let me add the next layer down. Then you’ve got those that have got lots of tempo energy and that’s like me. So you’ve got a trader. Traders are really good at having their ear to the ground. They’re very good at delivery. They’re very good at service.

but they’re also really good at loyalty. Okay. So these are the type of people that genuinely just love delivering and working closely with, with clients, you know, or, or delivering things. They love multitasking. So service based industries tend to have a lot of traders, even like healthcare professionals, doctors, nurses, et cetera.

You know, when you’re doing the same thing, there’s a lot of fast pacedness happening. They’re jumping a lot of things, but the difference between like somebody that’s got more tempo energies, they’re much more in the here and now. Or the short term, whereas those that have got much more dynamic energy, they’re much more about, right, where are we going in five years time, right?

It’s just a different mindset and perspective. So even with that, if you try and ask somebody that’s got lots of tempo [00:21:00] energy, like a trader, or even a deal maker, or an accumulator, which I’ll talk in a moment, what’s their five year business plan? That will stress them out. And also it’s the wrong question and the wrong thing for them to spend time doing.

Because their templeness is their, their asset. They’re really looking at what’s really happening in the marketplace. What are people telling me? They’re really good at pivoting really quickly. And you know, with a market trader, They know when do they need to get roses? When do they need to start selling Halloween stuff?

Does that make sense?

Teresa:

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Osmaan:

But they’re really good at knowing and they’ve got a real good pulse at what’s happening in their industry and their markets are also with their clients, their past clients. I’ve had two clients last week, previous clients that I reached out to and they’re like, Osmaan, you were, how did that happen?

I literally was thinking about you and then you reached out to me. Do you know what I mean? So it’s that element as you just, they’re just so, they’re so grounded in that way. I’m sharing that with. But you being a business coach and me being a business coach, we both help people. We help business owners, but the way we do [00:22:00] it is very, very different and it’s different games that we’re playing.

Teresa:

Yeah. And, and how our businesses deliver the thing, how we show up, what we, you know, what we excel best at. And it’s not with everything I ever talk about, it’s never that there’s one right and there’s one wrong. It’s just that power of knowing that your delivery or your way of working is great because this is you and mine is great because this is me.

It’s so good. This, I’m loving this by the way, this is so good. Again. So we’ve got, and I’m going to actually put, have you got this image that I can put in the show notes that people can look? Yeah, absolutely. I’ll share that with you. Yeah, great. So you can actually see because we’re looking like at a square with the things all around it.

So, and I will also make sure we link to your site where they can go and get this. Is that okay? Where they can actually have the test. And it is a paid test, but it’s not a huge amount. It’s like 40, 48

Osmaan:

pounds just for the test at the moment. Yeah. And the [00:23:00] reason why that’s important, sorry, I was just going to say to you, the reason why that’s important is because sometimes it’s easy to go, Oh, I might be a creator or I might be a star.

So you may resonate with a couple of these, right? Yeah. And even before you did that, Teresa, we had conversations and we kind of knew you’d be a star, but the biggest magic happened is when I was able to look at your individual graph and going, hold on. Let’s look at your percentage across other sides and that’s why I was going right certain things that you’re telling me I’m like, no, no, no, no hold back because yeah, that wasn’t just because you’re a star profile It’s because I was able to look at your individual graph to kind of make that so that’s what I would say It’s it’s so important because and I’ve talked about this in a second right about how you can apply it But I don’t want other people that are sitting here thinking but what about the other ones?

Okay, so let me complete Second, right? So you’ve got the traders like me You’ve got deal makers I talked about, then you’ve got accumulators. Accumulators are amazing at helping you get things done and just again simplifying things, but they do things from a [00:24:00] way that they can often be the most risk averse profile.

What they do is they’re grounded, but they start to bring in what we call steel energy. And that’s the energy of really a bit more efficiency, making things better from a system perspective as well, right? So they are, accumulators tend to accumulate lots of knowledge, lots of information. They’re most, as I say, the most risk averse person or business owners.

So they’re not the type of person that would go, right, I’ve got an idea, let’s launch it straight away. But they’re really good at making things happen. And I know you’ve got somebody in your corner that is an accumulator that you work with. And that’s great. It’s like the ying to your yang. And they’re really good at being able to go, hold on, when are you going to do that?

Does that make sense? Where’s the risks here? Where’s the overlaps? And that’s kind of where their real magic happens. They don’t necessarily even want or need to be in the spotlight, but their magic is they’re just really good at, again, understanding and seeing where they can make small tweaks. From a driving perspective, that will make [00:25:00] a huge difference as well.

Teresa:

Yeah. Love it. Okay. And then the last one, which then is the steel side.

Osmaan:

Yeah. So then we’ve got the, they’ve got the, the Lord Profile. So the Lord Profile, I like to think about it as a lady profile as well. Do you mean Lord or Lady of the Manor? Yes. These are, again, the opposite of a supporter. Supporters get the best out of nurturing people.

Lords are really good at getting the best out of assets or what you’ve created. So they are the best people that are able to look at data. And being able to see, right, how do we make the most of it? How do we make it more effective? How do we help execute it? So again, people that tend to love things like Metrix or Google Analytics or SEO, these type of profiles, and I know I’m generalizing this, this, these are people that really make a difference.

I’m going to show one quick example. I’m actually about to interview her later on for my podcast. Amy Woods, have you ever heard of Amy Woods?

Teresa:

Yeah, I know. Amy Woods, she has been in my world.

Osmaan:

Amy Woods is a Lord profile, right? So whereas All other agency owners talk about creating content and being on that treadmill. [00:26:00] Amy’s business is all about create content once, but how do you 10X it?

That’s the epitome of a lord profile. They’re really good at going, you’ve created something. Now, how do we help you to repurpose it? How do we help you look at it in a different way? How do we help you take what you’ve got and really get out there or consult around What, what they do with their expertise and that way.

So then you’ve got that, that’s kind of, but they’re bringing in that steel energy. Again, they don’t tend to love to be in the spotlight. They’re much more introverted generally. And that’s kind of where their real magic happens. The way that they see things are the way that they look at it. And that can be a real asset to businesses and what we do.

And then as you go back up, you’ve got the mechanic profile. Who’s got that cross between again, being steel energy and being dynamo energy there as well. So.

Teresa:

Yeah.

Osmaan:

I hope that is a whistle stop to our rights and profiles are, but what I just want to recognize here is that if you have got a very similar business, let’s say you’re a business coach.[00:27:00]

There’s eight different ways that you could be a business coach, right? There’s eight different business models. Again, I remember having a conversation with two star profile coaches and they were saying to me, Osmaan, when are you going to stop doing one to one coaching? And I’m like, what? Like that would be a nightmare for me, right?

I love being that trusting business partner. In the corner with my clients, I’ve had clients that I’ve worked with for years. Not to say that we don’t get results, but help them solve problems. We help them to move forward. And then when it’s like, okay, you know what? It’s like new level, new devil. Yeah.

That’s where they go, right. Hold on. I need that support. And then they come back or we, we work at a retainer basis. So I’m just trying to kind of emphasize here is if I was to look at you Teresa and go, my business model needs to be like you, that’d be a business, a recipe for disaster and vice versa.

So be cozy is what I’m trying to say here.

Teresa:

The reason why this is so good, and I obviously touched on it a minute before, but like, I have been in business 10 years now. I know I [00:28:00] am Enneagram 3. I know I’m ENFJ. I know I am good. I’m a celebrity profile for many archetypes. Like, I know I am good on stage. I like being the center of attention, like that kind of vibe.

So, but there are still decisions that I’ve made in my business that now that I was able to share with Osmaan that he immediately was able to go, What? No, that would not fit with you at all. And then suddenly I felt so much better because it’s like, well, why wasn’t that working? Or why, how was I getting this wrong?

And it’s like, this just isn’t you. And I think, Not only does that help me go, okay, well that really helps me think forward in terms of what am I going to do with the business, but also it makes me have some real good empathy for myself and go in, do you know what? it’s all right that that bit of the business wasn’t for me, or I’m not great at this bit, and actually this is where I shine and these are the things I should be doing.

So what Osmaan has said before, which is so right, is it’s not just about, because we knew I was star, [00:29:00] we knew that that would be high and that’s where I was, but mine, the dynamo and the blaze are really high on, or they look high on me, or that’s the highest, isn’t it? Whereas the steel of the tempo are like virtually non existent.

Although weirdly, I’ve got a little bit of a nod to the accumulator, just a tiny one. So there’s obviously like an element of that that I quite like, but otherwise those others are like, you know, that is not my forte at all.

Osmaan:

Absolutely. And what this allows you to do is it just allows you, and this is why I think it’s like, it’s like an onion light profile.

So I use this. Both for understanding you as a business owner, but then how does this play into your business model? How does this play into the way that we set goals? How does it play into your marketing strategies? It really is all encompassing. So what I mean by that is, you can It’s not an excuse for inexcusable behavior.

So like a star can’t turn around and go, Oh, do you know something? This is what I’m like, I don’t bother with the finance stuff. I don’t bother with the delivery stuff. You will not have a business that way, right? But it gives you that chance to [00:30:00] recognize what do we have to do to help you to take, let’s say, a product or a service full cycle.

And this might resonate, you know, for example, there’s so many people that start things like creators and even stars. They get so excited. They start things. They get out there talk about it, but but when it gets down to the right now, I need to keep talking about it. Now I need to keep doing the follow ups or the actual delivery.

That’s where the magic can start to get lost for them. And they’re on to the next idea, right? But if they keep doing that, they’re not going to have a sustainable growing business. So it’s about recognizing, okay, how do we help you with your service, your product, take it to that next part. So the template energy is the delivery of the service.

The steel energy is about how do we make it more effective and efficient so that we can, you know, relaunch it or keep it there. But all the time we’re looking at how do we do it the best way for you? Some things that might be right now we have to put a system in place. Now we have to bring other people in to maybe do parts of it.

Or we need to recognize [00:31:00] for this season in my business or the year, I’m going to be, and let’s say for your case, more tempo energy so that you don’t go What’s wrong here, right? You’re expecting it, you’re being proactive, and I would also say during those, those periods, you’re able to then maybe get your dynamo or your, your blade energy topped up from a different way, so you’re not wrecking your business, but you go, I still need to be, you know, in flow from, from another perspective, but I’m not having to constantly just reinvent things in lots of ways.

So it’s really important when you get to see it and go, How does it start with where I am in business and also the stage of your products and your services and what you’re doing as well.

Teresa:

And it’s like you said, it’s having those moments of like, this is what I love. So I’m making sure it’s in. So as we record this, one of the things I’ve got coming up, even though I’ve just spoke to Osmaan about things are very busy at the moment, and actually I’m almost looking to slow things down a little bit.

However, one of the things I want to do is a new masterclass where, or a new workshop actually about [00:32:00] webinars and, and delivering webinars and the technique and the strategies of delivering a really successful webinar. And it’s so funny because every time I have a team call and I’m like, literally look like I’m hanging because I’m like, Oh God, because I feel like that sometimes the minute I talk about this new workshop, even though we’ve got no content for it, we’ve got nothing, it would all be from scratch.

I light up and they’re like, and I get energy for that. Like, and immediately I’m like, yeah, I want to do that. Even though I feel very tired. But of course, again, reading what we’ve just talked about, this thing’s perfect sense why I’m excited by that.

Osmaan:

Yeah. And it just, it just helps you to make so many more smarter decisions.

Right. So let’s say, for example, when I’m working with somebody that’s got a lot of dynamo and, and blaze energy, I know it’s about, okay, what’s your vision? How do we help design it? But knowing that as things move on, they’ll be like, Oh, I’ve had an idea. And I’m like, I’m not there to say don’t do it. But it’s like a, just pause for a second.

How does this fit in with where we’re going? So that you’re making smart decisions [00:33:00] to go, right? No, no, that’s actually a distraction. Or that’s not really working. Or here’s how we can make it work in that smart way. But also for those that are sitting there going, I’m just doing the same thing over and over again.

I, let’s say I’ve been in business for 17 years. At the core of what I do, I talk about wealth dynamics daily. I use NLP coaching techniques daily with my clients, right? I did not get bored with that at all. Right. Whereas if it was something I created, they’d be like, Oh, what’s the next thing? Or let me create something else.

But all I’m trying to recognize is, and I’m seeing this from a mindset perspective, Teresa, because. Over those years, and I can talk about this personally, there’s so many business owners out there that feel like they’re doing it wrong. They feel like they’re going, well, they’re doing it that way, I should do it that way.

Or they spend so much time going, right, let me, let me do something that’s way out of their comfort zone and they can actually end up breaking their business. So I’ve seen people, for example, go right, I want to scale my business and then they make, they do like completely, you [00:34:00] know, all webinars, everything is basically removing them from speaking to potential clients or customers, right?

Which is honestly the worst thing that somebody with temple energy could do. Right. So do you get what I mean by that? Right. So if you then have, and even in certain things in your business world, your marketing strategies to go, right, what can I do? But vice versa, if a star is too accessible, it actually takes the shine off them, right?

So that’s why you can’t just pick up the phone to go, Oh, I want to have a chat to Oprah, right? It’s like, no, no, no, no, no. Like, you know, it’s like, you know, she’s got her deal makers around her, right? Her team around her. But the same way, like I, in my business model, I have no desire to have other people to be like, you know, associate coaches, you know, in the future, right.

In lots of ways. I have no desire to have loads of like, you know, products and online courses that people just do and don’t have that support, that personal support in it because I’m like going like, and I’m not saying [00:35:00] it’s right or wrong, but for me, I’m just going, it doesn’t excite me and it doesn’t, it’s not where I can add the real magic to business owners.

I often have business owners that have done programs that get confused, get stuck because they’re kind of lost in that. And then they go, I need one to one help. I just need you to focus on me. And that’s where we then look at the whole picture, like what’s your design, i. e. how’s your business model, your values, your vision, your personality, you know, what, what you want with your goals, what’s your mindset like, and what’s the best strategies for you.

So those three elements really help create that, that magic and take away the chaos and give you confidence.

Teresa:

I mean, this is, this is, it’s like, where do I sign up Osmaan? When you’re talking, I’m like, this sounds perfect. What? cause I am going to be selfish cause this is my podcast and I can be for a moment. If you were to come to me with a, like a product or marketing head on, what would stars be doing?

What kind of stuff should they be looking at? Like how, you know, because you in my head, I’m [00:36:00] thinking maybe evergreen stuff is not really going to cut it. Or is it, I don’t know, like if I’m on screen, is it going to work? Yeah. Yeah. So what are your thoughts?

Osmaan:

So stars are really good at, and again, I’m putting a caveat here.

Obviously there’s loads of different ways. I’m generalizing this. Okay. Yeah. But stars are really good at being able to connect with lots of people and that could be live or it can be through like change. So like Marie Forleo, I would say is a classic star profile. Okay. But so you can still do that in a way.

And so you can create something that is like evergreen, but then when it comes down to kind of like marketing it, that’s kind of what it’s about. How do you still bring your start energy into that? So that would be like maybe doing live masterclasses, speaker sessions, being on other people’s podcasts, et cetera.

Right. Compared to just going, I’ve created something and I’m going to completely just let it run through Facebook ads or something. You see the difference. Do I mean? So it’s more about how do I show up? How do I connect? Because stars are really good at connecting and making people [00:37:00] go, Oh, I want whatever they’re pointing at.

Then when it comes to the delivery of it, that’s where it might be a case of great. I get to show up and I’m going to be live for this period of time. And this, whether it’s a group format, groups worked really well for, for stars. A couple of things I would caution is if there’s a lot of one to one services or delivery, because that’s where it can start to be like a, you know, yeah, the energy, the edge comes off.

But also, and I want to think about this from the actual client’s perspective, there’s many times that you see the star in whatever format that might be. And that’s where you’re like, they’re making an impact, they’re helping you. But then if you’re working with them in a one to one basis, it can feel a bit like a They’re not as, the edge is off it, right?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because it’s just, they’re not in their best place. They’re not playing in the best part of the playground. And for you, you’re probably going, I want the nitty gritty, or what does that look like? And they’re just going, oh, like, come on, just get on with it, right? Because they like things to be quite fast paced.

And, and I know [00:38:00] I’m generalizing that, but that’s a few things I would say, like, put yourself out there, you know, as I know you do. It’s very natural to do things like, you know, have a podcast, be the face of something, do things that are very, very live. But again, I’m seeing this with love because there’s all the seven other profiles that would try and go, well, I need to have my own podcast.

I need to do this and stuff that actually might not be the best thing for them. And, and I’m again, seeing this is from experience. especially in the online world, there’s a lot of, understandably, there’s a lot of stars out there, right? So there can be a bit of a bias towards that’s the way you should do things because it’s going because that’s, they’re doing it in the best way.

Teresa:

Yeah.

Osmaan:

But we don’t actually see often people in the spotlight that I’ve got like, Great coaching practices that are filled. I love them what they do because they’re just getting on and doing it. A lot of that’s coming through word of mouth or networking or different [00:39:00] models and it’s just about to take a step back.

So anybody listening to this, I just want you to have that sense of going What is my best way and how do I just keep the blinkers on? How do I stop the distraction creeping in thinking I’m doing it the wrong way or Yes, you can get inspired by other profiles, tailor it and go, Oh, what is it I like about that?

How do I maybe take a little bit about that and sprinkling it into what I do, not feeling like I have to create my whole business or my whole marketing in that way. Because honestly, quite quickly, you’ll start to go,

Hmm, I’ve created a job or I’ve created Why does this not feel like I’m enjoying it?

Teresa:

You’re doing the thing potentially, but it’s not delivering in the same way. Okay, so let’s say someone comes to your site, they do the profile, they get it. How do they, other than coming to work with you to understand it, how do they take what they’ve got? So now I know I’m a star, like, is there things I should go and read?

Is there things I should look at? Like, how am I going to [00:40:00] take that and use it?

Osmaan:

Well, I would start to, when you go through the profile, it tells you stuff like what your strengths are, what your challenges, challenging areas are. And I would also recommend that if you are on a podcast listener, on my podcast, every guest I have, I always ask them what their profile is, right?

Because I’m always then going, so if anybody ever goes, Oh, I’ve done the profile. You’re welcome if you do it through my website to reach out to me and go, Hey, I’m a supporter. Is there any podcast that you would recommend? I’ll point you in the right direction. I would then allow you or I’d encourage you to start just opening up your eyes and asking the questions when you go, Oh, When you see something or you’re considering something going from the advice I’m getting here or this technique How does that relate to what are my strengths?

What are how does that relate to some of the weaknesses that are outlined in the the profile as well? To allow you to then go right let me Resonate more with that. Let me not resonate with that. So that can then help you to filter who your role model a little bit more is one thing I’d say. So you start to go, right, [00:41:00] here’s maybe a business model or a bit of a person that I think might, might lean more to my personality.

Then you can get inspired and the best way for that. But also. The reality is this is not about just going, Oh, you know, everything’s going to completely fit like a jigsaw puzzle, right? Because you may have things that are currently you’re committed to. You might have your product, your services or what you’re doing.

So I’m not saying that you turn it and go, Oh, I need to ‘

Teresa:

strap it down tomorrow.

Osmaan:

But I just want you to look at it and go. What are things I could easily do that would allow me to lean more into my profile here as well? So if you are that person, let’s say you go, I’ve got great expertise and you might be a lord profile or even an accumulator, but you’re then going right, okay, I’ve committed to do loads of stuff, live masterclasses, and you go, it drains me, right?

You’d go, Well, why am I promising that? Actually, the best thing could be is let me get that in a way that fits with me. I don’t have to say it over and over again, but then I could show up and deliver the client [00:42:00] experience in a different way. So, can you see what I mean by that? It’s a small tweak that you might go.

That part might make a difference. One of my clients is a great creator. He’s got a group program. He works with clients, specifically graphic designers. He knew that ongoing coaching is not the thing for him. but he wanted to support his clients. So he’s got point coaches that literally he shows up in at his moment, his business, he delivers the group coaching calls, he delivers the masterclasses, and then everybody’s got their own effectively implementation coach.

That happened not right from the start of when he started his business. It was like I started to, you know, get traction. He was growing it and then he’s like, like Osmaan, now I’m finding it a lot better. Oh, and I’m like, okay, what’s the best next step for you? And that’s about just looking at right.

What’s the what’s the the way to make life easy? And again, I know I could talk about this for hours, right? But that’s why. I also work a lot with established business owners. Absolutely. This is great. If you’re listening to this and you’re just starting your [00:43:00] business, do the profile because you’ll save yourself so much heartache, right?

But genuinely Teresa, tell me if you know this from your world as well. We tend to have, but I tend to have business owners that, They do get results, right? They, they left whatever they’ve done. They started their business, but they get to a point where they go, okay, things are working, but why am I not feeling it anymore or what’s next?

And that’s when we get to have that more elevated conversation where you go, right, what’s that, you know, what’s that way to grow your business and. You actually have to go backwards sometimes to dig in to go, well, how am I going to grow it? Well, what is my value so that I know I’m doing it in a way that that motivates me?

What is my personality, i. e. your entrepreneurial superpower, wealth dynamics? Yeah. Is there any mindset blocks that are now creeping in when you’re getting into that level? So, I love especially working with established business owners because even knowing things like you about your personality, then you’re able to go, Ah, here’s what I could do really quickly to make decisions that’ll [00:44:00] get really, magic happening in impactful ways, because of the action that you take as a result.

Teresa:

Oh, Osmaan. I’ve loved this and I love how animated you are, how excited you are. This is like, I can tell that this is, you freaking love this stuff.

Osmaan:

I do. I do.

Teresa:

I, I just love that. Where can they come and find you? What’s the podcast called? Tell us everything.

Osmaan:

Absolutely. So if you are interested in obviously what we’ve talked about, which has been very much about wealth dynamics and entrepreneurial super power, head over to osmaansharif.com. There’s a whole page dedicated to the wealth dynamics profile. I would encourage you to do it as a business owner. Honestly, it will pay off in so many ways. And my honest invitation is have a conversation with me. I do virtual cup has no obligation to work with me 15 minutes. Even if you do the profile and you go, can you just help me bring it to life?

And my world, I’m absolutely happy to do that for you. And so I’ll put you there and then I’ve got my own podcast. It’s called your business quest. And that’s where I bring lots of stuff [00:45:00] around entrepreneurial superpowers mindset. How do we really grow our business in a way that is a journey that’s up and down at different points, but I’m all about how do we do it in the best way for us?

So if you’re listening to this, you’re already a podcast listener. So pop on over and there’s lots of episodes waiting there for you as well.

Teresa:

Awesome. Thank you so much Osmaan. It’s been a pleasure to have you on.

Osmaan:

Oh, it’s been great. And as you can see, I can talk about this for hours.

Teresa:

Which I love.
