Teresa: Can you create an online business and take it evergreen from day one and make money? Well, this wasn’t something that I thought was possible until I met today’s guest, Jessica Crane. In today’s episode, Jessica is talking me through how she took her online business Evergreen from day one and started making money.

I dig into all of the various bits of the funnel and how it works for her and how it’s still working to this day.

Hello and welcome back to another episode of the Your Dream Business Podcast. This week we are talking evergreen.

Now, this isn’t something you hear me talking about a lot because obviously a lot of what I talk about is using launching, and most of those launches are live, and I am actually a massive fan of someone learning to live launch first, understanding what’s working for their customers, understanding how they show up, what is great, what isn’t great, and then once you’ve learned, then we can take it into evergreen.

However, today’s guest literally took a business online and immediately went evergreen and made it a success. Today I’m talking to the [00:02:00] very lovely Jessica Crane. Jessica is a serial entrepreneur, internationally recognized wealth and business coach, and is the founder of the SheEO Collective, a community built to empower SheEO’s to build, lead, and conquer.

She has a seven figure business and she helps SheEOs create generational wealth by embracing the power of choice and voice. After overcoming personal adversity, she built her empire by combining the grit to overcome challenges and the glam to celebrate success. We have such a lovely conversation.

Basically, Jessica’s life turned a bit of a corner and through personal circumstance meant her business had to change, and she basically started evergreen from day one,. And you know me, you know, I like to ask all the questions and I like to get really deep and in on, okay, what is it that we’re doing here?

How do we do it? And we talk about how she uses ads and, and basically. [00:03:00] Through ad spend is then converting people into her funnel, which is then converting them to customers. So we talk through what that is. Then we have a general conversation about investing in yourself and investing in your business and what that looks like and why people might be a little bit intimidated to do that.

But it’s a really good conversation. There’s lots for you to take away from it. And like I said, evergreen isn’t something that I always talk about, so this was as interesting for me as I think it will be for you guys. Without further ado, here is the lovely Jessica. Jessica, welcome to the podcast.

Jessica: Amazing. Thanks’, Teresa. Thank you for having me. Really excited for this conversation today.

Teresa: Me too. We met for the first time. In fact, I need to share how we met. ’cause it kind of was funny. So I was talking about the fact and I had to talk generally about the fact that I’m terrible at networking. I really don’t like it.

And I had gone to an event to the big fest, Doon, and I had got this dress that I’d asked to be fixed ’cause the zip had broke on it. And they said [00:04:00] they’d fixed it. It was my lovely mother-in-law and she said she’d fixed it. And I thought she was gonna sew the zip up so I could just like pull it on over my head.

Anyway, this is meaning something people, in case you’re like, what are you talking about? Anyway, I put the dress on in the morning and the flipping zip broke, so I managed to get it fixed, except I couldn’t zip the dress up. So I then had to leave my room with my dress unzip ’cause it was a zip at the back. And I just found this very lovely woman who happened to be sat down and I just said, is there any chance, weirdly you could sit my dress up?

And that’s how we met. So

Jessica: I was helping girls, right? Like.

Teresa: Exactly.

Jessica: And I’d been there. So I went to an event where I was getting this award had this tight Balmain dress on and I had to do exactly the same. I had to go find somebody to zip my dress up.

Teresa: Brilliant. Brilliant, brilliant. Like, you know, you’re gonna get on from that point.

And when someone goes, of course as if you dress, dress up, don’t look at you like you are actually insane. But it was awesome. So we got to meet and we got to chat and hang out and we [00:05:00] knew some people, which is brilliant, but. The reason I wanted, or there’s lots of reasons I want you on the podcast, but one of the ones is because we’re gonna talk about Evergreen and I want people to understand, I don’t normally do the whole tell us how you got started and things, but you started with Evergreen, which most people can’t do.

So just take me back to the beginning as to how you came into the online space and then why you decided that option, which might have seemed like an easy option, but it kind of isn’t.

Jessica: Yeah, absolutely. So I had a face-to-face consulting business for about three years. So I was consulting with businesses mainly in hair, salon, spa, beauty, that kind of industry, even like hotel spas, like all of those kind of different variations and.

So I had a face-to-face business model and I lived in Leicester. I was based in the Midlands. So as you can imagine, a lot of my clients were all very close [00:06:00] proximity to me in where they lived. I had a big network of those people, ’cause I’ve been in that industry for a very long time. I went on maternity leave with my daughter and that’s when I started building this business.

So I’d done a consulting degree. And I had a, this huge network and they were like, come and help me, Jess, with my business. So it was very much face-to-face business consulting method for about three years. And it was working great around, you know, young children and all of this stuff. But there was two things that I noticed.

One, I started to hit capacity. ’cause if you’re doing something face-to-face and it’s time for money, you’re gonna hit a capacity. Yeah. So that’s already in the back of my mind. And the second thing that happened was my husband played sport and he literally came home one day, and this was just after I’d had my second child, Hunter.

So I had a newborn and a toddler, and he came home and he was like, we are moving. He was like, I’m being sold. And we’re moving. And I [00:07:00] was like, what? I was like, when, where, what, how, why? And he was like, yeah, like literally, like right now we are moving to Bristol. And I was like, great. Like I’d never been to Bristol, so I was now selling my house, lost my face-to-face business, moved to a city that I’d never been to, and.

Literally lost everything overnight. And I was like, this is shit. I was like, so I didn’t have one family member, I didn’t have one friend, I didn’t have anybody. And you know, under the circumstances that he went to that team was quite pressured as well because they were like, we’ve brought you in to take us from a championship to a Premiership team.

So he had a lot going on. Yeah. That like high pressure environment and I’d lost my business. I was doing everything with the kids, not one friend, not one family member. So I had nobody to help me childcare or anything, and I was like, this is shit. But I was like, when you are in a shit situation, you have to [00:08:00] decide.

Am I gonna stay in this shit situation or am I gonna do something about it? And a lot of my clients were still messaging me. They’re like, I know you’ve gone, but I need you to help me. Yeah. Like, can you still help me? They were like, can you come back every now and again? Like, what? What can you do? And I was like, right.

Okay. I was like, we need to find a way to make this work and. I was like, so what I’m gonna do is I’m going to find a mentor. I’m going to take my business online so that if this ever happens again, yeah. It doesn’t matter where we move, where we live. Like in sports, some of our friends can move every season.

Mm-hmm. So I was like, this potentially could happen again and I need to future proof my business. So I was like, I’m gonna take it online. But then as I started looking in this crazy on online space.

Teresa: So what year was this? Sorry.

Jessica: This was 2016.

Teresa: Okay, so fairly early [00:09:00] doors.

Jessica: Yeah. So I was like, this is a crazy world.

Yeah. A lot of people were launching, so I was looking around and a lot of people were launching and I was like, this is just not gonna work for me. Like one my husband does not have a nine to five job. Like he can be gone at 6:00 AM back at seven. He could be gone all weekend if they’ve got a game away like, and sometimes they’re like, they don’t have a schedule.

Sometimes they’re just like, oh, we’re gonna train till X. Yeah, X time today we’re gonna have a meeting. Like it’s very light spur of the moment. Like sometimes they’ll have a week off and they’re like, you’ve got a week off from today, and you’re like. Great. Okay, great. Yeah, there’s no planning. There’s no notice.

So I have to do all of that as though I’m doing it almost as a single parent. Yeah. So I was like, I, I was terrified of launching as well. Because you remember on the TV where the politician was talking on Zoom and then the child on the stroller comes in in the back?

Teresa: Yeah, yeah. Literally. [00:10:00] That’s your life.

Jessica: I was like, that’s gonna be me. I was like, I have to learn new, but like I was like, there’s things in my environment that a live launch will be in life, I just don’t think.

Teresa: Would be a nightmare.

Jessica: Take that risk. So I was like, I need to find somebody who does this in an automated way in an evergreen way. And that’s exactly what I did.

So I took the business online and all of our sales and marketing processes were evergreen from day one. And I think that the reason it worked is because I also think, one, I didn’t have any time, and that can be a gift because when you don’t have time, you have to be so strategic of how you use that time.

Like, I literally, the, the little time that I did have, like my mentor was in America, my coaching calls were in the middle of the night. Mm-hmm. Like, and my son loves, loved to wake up about four times a [00:11:00] night. Brilliant. So, yeah, it was awesome. So I was like, I’m with them all day because mm-hmm. I’m the only person who can take care of them here.

With nobody, and I was on these coaching calls all night. He was waking up all night. Like honestly, it was hell on Earth for about six months, but I was like, it has to work or it has to work, because there was just no other option. I was like, there is no other option. Yeah, I was like this shit, and it has to work because I also, I’m not one of them moms.

I love my kids, but I’m not, I’m not a stay at home mom. I’m not a, yeah. Do you know what I mean? Like I love my kids.

Teresa: Yeah, a hundred percent. And I’m the same.

Jessica: Your kids.

Teresa: Yeah. Yeah. I, yeah. When someone says to me, my dream is to do the school run, I’m like, wow.

Well, like, ’cause that is not my dream. Like, good on you if that’s what you want.

But for me, hell on earth. No.

Jessica: I’m the mom. That wheel spins up. Get out. See you late.

Teresa: Yeah, [00:12:00] you and I would’ve been friends if we had kids at the same age.

Jessica: Much so. So for me, and I think sometimes as a business owner, I think you do need to put yourself under that pressure of target.

Teresa: Totally.

Yeah. I think that is the point that I wanted to kind of bring back up was the fact of, you said.

It had to work. Or it had to work. Right. And I love that because, and it’s funny, when I started my business, I was a single mom. I had a house to run. I had no choice. Right? And when people go, well, how did you do it? I kind of can’t tell them because I just did it. Like I didn’t have a choice. It was either lose my house or move back in with my parents, which had been hell on earth like.

Or take my child outta nursery, which again was not a thing, like I had to make it work. So I think sometimes when you are pressed for time, you suddenly become the most efficient you’ve ever been in your life. Yeah. And when you have no choice, you make it work. So talk to me then, because this for [00:13:00] me, right.

As a person who. All day, every day talks about launching and talks about online business and talks about selling things online like you did what other people want to do. And the I tell them is very difficult to do, which is to go straight into evergreen. ’cause one of the things that I would teach is let’s launch live launch first.

Let’s work out. What everything is, how people like what they want, how this works. And then when we know what we’re doing, we evergreen it or we can evergreen it. Yeah. How did you know what to do or what did you do in those first days in terms of putting this on evergreen?

Jessica: Yeah, so I had a mentor who had a proven funnel and a proven system and a proven process.

So I think number one. You’ve gotta go find a mentor who’s doing the thing that you want to do. And I know that we’ve spoke about this before, Teresa, like I truly believe every strategy works. You just have to work the strategy. Yeah. So does launching work? Yes. Does evergreen work? Yes. Does Facebook [00:14:00] group work?

Work groups work? Yes. Does email work? Yes. All of these things work, but you, you’ve gotta go and find the person with that strategy and then you’ve gotta work hard to dial it in. So he had a strategy. And he taught me this strategy. So we have like a VSL funnel. That’s one of our main evergreen funnels. Right?

Teresa: What do you mean VSL?

Jessica: So we run an ad through an opt-in page where they watch a prerecorded video. Mm-hmm. Which can be anywhere like seven to 30 minutes. So it’s almost like a mini webinar, which then takes to a phone call and then our sales team onboards them into the program that’s suitable for them. So that’s

okay.

That is our evergreen. And then obviously we have our emails, our automation and everything else running under that as well. So all we really have to do, and that funnel has been running every day from 2016 to today.

Teresa: Wow. That is crazy.

Jessica: We have periods where [00:15:00] we put more traffic through it, periods where we put less traffic through it, but ultimately that same one funnel and it’s done over 3 million.

So we just do everything like that’s our core funnel, and we do then have other automations that they go into after that. Because what you have to remember is. My priority is indoctrinating my clients so that they go through this process so they know who I am, what I deliver, how I deliver it, the results that I get, and then they’re ready to buy from us and they, they’re excited to come and work with us.

They’ve got, they’ve had all this information that they’ve needed to become a customer before they’ve decided to buy.

Teresa: Yeah. So tell me about the, so when you are running ads to an opt-in page. Yeah. So is it, are you running ads to a free training? Is that what the opt-in’s for?

Jessica: Yeah, I track free training. Yeah.

Teresa: Okay. So then they go and watch the video, then [00:16:00] they’re called to action. At that point is to book on a call. How many products have you got that your sales team can sell to them?

Jessica: I’d say there’s two or three core products that they would be focused on selling. Yeah.

Teresa: Okay. And they are higher priced products, as in, they’re not like your a hundred pounds, 500 pounds, or have you got some of that level?

Jessica: No. So we do have, so we have, our main core product is 8,000, and then we have a couple of smaller down sells from that if they’re not suitable for that one.

Teresa: So in your head, is it that when someone gets on a call, the ideal is they’re buying the 8,000 and if they don’t, then we can offer them some lower things?

Jessica: Yes. Yeah.

Teresa: Did you ever do your sales calls? Yes. Or did you always have someone else doing them? So you did start doing your sales calls.

Jessica: I did them at the beginning. Again, it was because my mentor was like, you need to, you need to get that feedback. Okay. So we need to speak to people to [00:17:00] get the feedback.

Now I speak to obviously my sales team daily now, and I’m still getting that feedback, but I’m just not getting it firsthand because I wanted to get that feedback because I needed to understand what they understood from watching the video and going through the process. Like, why do they still have this objection or why do they mistakenly think this instead of this?

Yeah. Yeah. And then go back and reiterate the video and tweak it and change it and or it might be the email automations that they, we needed to handle an objection stronger than what we had been or whatever it is. But you wanna be guessing feedback. So you can go and reiterate your feed for your funnel in some way, shape, or form that it needs to.

Teresa: And that actually is really reassuring for me to hear because when I talk about doing a live launch first, it’s because we need that feedback. But because you were taking them to a sales call and you were doing the sales calls, you were getting the feedback. So technically that was live at that [00:18:00] point, but.

So let’s talk about these early days. ’cause we’ve just had this conversation that actually you are currently in a launch as we record this and we were talking about the absolute rollercoaster that is launching because like as I said before, when things are going well, you feel amazing. When they’re not, you’re like, what am I even doing with my life?

How soon did you see results? Because when you do an evergreen, like now, I should imagine you’ve got it to such a level that it’s just ticking along all the time, doing the thing, however. Like. I can imagine you back in the day getting it all set up, doing all the things, getting it all ready, doing the, turning it on, and then sitting there like, come on, come on.

Like how long was it before it actually started to do something?

Jessica: Do you know what? It was quite quickly, and I think that’s awesome that also because of the environment at the time, so this was 2016. Yeah. Facebook ads.

Teresa: Very different.

Jessica: And me think for those [00:19:00] numbers again, like yeah, the cost lead, the cost per call, like all of it was so cheap.

So it, and I would say the competition in that space at that time was tiny. It was pretty much non existent.

Teresa: Exactly.

Jessica: In fact, I had, on my email list, I had a lot of competitors on my email list and they would email me things like, oh, an online business in this industry is never gonna work. I think it’s ridiculous that you can be an online business coach, blah, blah, blah.

Like all this hate and all this bullshit, which they can come 2020. Suddenly they were all.

Teresa: All doing the same thing.

Jessica: I was like, oh, really? Now?

Teresa: Yeah. Let me just bring back this email that you wrote.

Jessica: Honey. Oh, I’m not that person. That sometimes I’m like, I would just love to share this.

Teresa: Yeah, yeah. Yeah.

Jessica: My sweet darling have decided to troll me, so, so yeah, so it actually worked quite quickly and I think that was because at the time there was no competition, that Facebook ads were so cheap.

[00:20:00] So as soon as we started running traffic to it, it was booking calls and it was working. So that’s why then for me, I had this illusion that Evergreen was actually quite easy.

Teresa: Yeah, yeah. But it was, and, and at that time. That you did straight off the bat, which so many people don’t do, and I didn’t do. I didn’t run ads.

Right. And I often, I keep having this realization, although it still needs to sink in some more. So I actually do run proper ads all the time. But I have built my business to where it is based on purely organic stuff, which is Ace, right. And I high five myself and go, well done. That’s brilliant. However.

When I look at the ginormous people, when I look at, and I’m not necessarily saying I want a business like theirs, but when you look at them, they are running ads constantly because that is the way that this works. So the fact that you started day one, I need to run ads, kind of got you over that whole, you never had to [00:21:00] go into the, oh, now I need to spend money.

You knew straight off the bat I’m spending money.

Jessica: A hundred percent. Yeah. And I think again, it came down to having a good mentor who was like, right, organic is great, but we wanna put fuel on the fire. Yeah. And we wanna get feedback quicker. We wanna get the volume and you know, because I’m very analytical, like.

I am very like blue and red as a person. Right? Yeah. So my blue part is like we would measure every step of the funnel. Mm-hmm. So I would like, okay, well, organically, instead of getting five people through the funnel today, we could get 25 people through the funnel today. And then we can measure those numbers faster and be making those iterations and tweaks and all of that stuff faster because.

We are measuring, and I think that that is the key with Evergreen and with launching, is whatever marketing you are doing, you have to be doing the unsexy stuff. You have to be doing the measuring right, whether it’s Facebook ads, whether it’s your actual funnel steps, [00:22:00] like you’ve gotta be doing the measuring part, which is not the fun part, but it is the part that’s gonna either make you profitable or not profitable.

So.

Teresa: Totally.

Jessica: I was right away on ads and I think, ’cause I was in a, with my mentor, but I was in a group and I could see the results that other people were getting with ads. And I was like, I want that. Like today, I’m, I move fast like my mastermind clients, like they are like, I knew you were fast, but this is like flipping you on crack because I want it today.

I want it now. Like why wait, why wait? Like just get shit on. Live your best up now. Yeah, do it now. Do it now.

Do it now. Like.

Teresa: Like I read something just the other day and it basically said, if you knew you only had to fail 20 times before you got what you wanted, how fast would you fail? You would fail if you knew, right, I’ve gotta fail 20 times.

And then suddenly the dream that I want, the money I want to earn, the business I want is [00:23:00] there, you would literally like fail, fail, fail, fail, fail. And that is where like, you know, I’m not a massive fan of Elon Musk as a person, but. That’s one of his mantras. Like fail fast, right? Like, because the quicker you do something, the quicker you learn and the quicker you can tweak it.

And what I see a lot, which is something I’m trying to empower people to, to get over is they do one launch, it falls on its backside. So they think, but again, ’cause I do love the numbers. When I look at the numbers, it’s like, actually it’s not as bad as you thought. They, it falls on my backside door. It isn’t this big, massive launch that they expect and then they go, well, I’m not doing it again.

Whereas really what we wanna do is do it, tweak it, do it, tweak it, do it, tweak it. Like just keep going because each time you’re gonna get it better. So. Tell me, ’cause obviously that was a long time ago. As you’ve rightly said, Facebook ads are not what they were like. The money you now must have to spend.

What has changed? Like has there been anything, or [00:24:00] what changes have you had to make over the years to that funnel through order to keep it going?

Jessica: I’d say one of our main things is listening to your market as, as the online space has got wilder, and right now it’s crazy wild. Their objections and the things that they’re looking for are different, and you’ve got to be.

Really tuned into listening to your market to understand that so that you can handle your objections and so that your offer meets their needs of what they’re looking for. You’ve gotta be updating your offer. You’ve gotta be, you’ve gotta be at the forefront, and that’s why I believe investing in yourself is key.

I love, I love being in Masterminds. I love having mentors. I think as well, Teresa, like when you are in those rooms and with the big people who are doing the multi, multi multimillion pound launches, you see that from the outside. On, on Instagram, on Facebook, you see the [00:25:00] outside of their business and everything looks like it’s working and everything’s just going swimmingly all the time.

But when you are on the inside and you know these people, you know that that’s not always the case, right? So when you are isn’t working or isn’t going as planned or something’s not going great, you know that that’s just normal and you know that that’s part of the process. You don’t have this comparison fit.

But I think ultimately, so I think that helps. Massive. Yeah. So that you know that what you are going through and what you are experiencing is actually just completely normal.

Teresa: The same as everyone else. Yeah. Yeah. Just different numbers or different levels or different things. But it doesn’t stop. That fear doesn’t go away, that stress doesn’t go away.

None of that ends because you hit a certain level. It’s just different.

Jessica: Exactly like you’re just, the bigger your business, the just the bigger your responsibilities mm-hmm. Come and just, it just becomes different. But I think you’ve gotta listen to your market, you’ve gotta iterate your offer. And as now more than ever, is handling [00:26:00] that.

People have done things now because there’s so much competition in the online space. So many people over, over promising and under delivering. And our biggest thing right now is that people have done other things and they haven’t been very good. Yeah. And so now they’re scared to invest again because they think that they’re gonna go into something else that’s gonna over promise and un under deliver.

Yeah. So it’s really listening to your market and then going, okay, what’s important to them and how can we demonstrate that we are not that? Because we have been online since 2016. We haven’t been here for five minutes. Do you know what I mean? And I think that’s important, and I think it’s important for business owners to do their due diligence when you are, yeah, looking for somebody to work with, but equally for you as the business, like go and put that due diligence in front of your people so that they can see it.

Teresa: You know what’s funny? I had, I don’t do very much one-to-one work on purpose. [00:27:00] And I had someone contact me wanting to do some one-to-one work and I said to them, so I told them what the deal was and I told them how this works and all that sort of stuff. And then I said to ’em at the end of the call, okay, go away and have a think about it, and I’ll be in touch in a few days if I haven’t heard from you to see what you think.

Also, if you would like to speak to my current one-to-one people, I will happily pass you on to them. Right? And I hadn’t asked my current one-to-one people and. I thought, and it didn’t even cross my mind that it’d be a problem, right? So he, this guy actually turned around and said, yeah, I would actually, I was like, cool.

So I messaged two the people that I’m working with, and I was like, any chance you can have a conversation with someone who wants to, you know, work with me? Potentially both of them are like, yes, absolutely a hundred percent. And like. That for me says everything. Like I didn’t even have to prep them, ask them nothing.

I had no idea what they said. All I said was, would you speak to them? He’s thinking about working with me and it was funny, I had one of the calls with my one-to-one yesterday and she said to me what was wild is when she got on the call, the two Americans, right? American is a really big country. [00:28:00] They ended up knowing the same people.

They don’t even live near each other. I was like, how insane is this. Anyway, and she said, one of the things I said to him was that you constantly over deliver. Like the value you give compared to what I pay is huge. And that’s the way I like it. Like, yeah, not that, not that like, you know. I am killing myself, trying to make people happy.

But when I say I’m gonna do X, I do above that. because like you said, and you must have been on this receiving end. ’cause I know I have, I have paid for a lot of mentors, a lot of programs, a lot of things where it did not give me anything that I wanted. And it is, and it’s understandable that people feel that way.

Jessica: A hundred percent. I’ve been, like you say, I’ve been on the receiving end. We talk about it in our mastermind. That’s one of the things that we’re really focused on as well, is helping our clients over deliver on their offer, like offer’s so phenomenal. Understand your client’s problem better than anybody else so that you can offer [00:29:00] a better solution than anybody else.

Like I also think as well, my feedback from my mastermind clients is that they’ve been in a lot of things where there’s a lot of gatekeeping. And Right. Whereas I’m like, you asked me a question, I’m giving you the full answer. The strategy. Yeah. The tool, the result. Resources, the step by step, everything. Like we are here to get you phenomenal results, right?

Yeah. So I think over like over deliver every time. And I always think I want them to feel like this is, I mean, we’ve just done a lives all this week with our mastermind clients as part of our launch and they’re like, we’re month five in and most have made like a 10 x return already.

Teresa: Amazing, amazing. But like you said, you need to.

The way that they do that is ’cause of the effort you put in. Like we know that like how many people have bought all the courses? Like, believe me, I bought all the courses, loads of us have and we just. Either A, by the course [00:30:00] and hope by osmosis it’ll make us better. Or B, we might even go through and do the course, which lots of us don’t, by the way.

But we might go through and do the course and then it still doesn’t work because that particular thing, you know what was good about what you’ve done is you’ve been able to take a method. You went to the person who’s good at the method. Yeah. You got the method and then you worked that for you and your business, and presumably because you were in their community, you were able to ask questions and tweak it and do those things.

Yeah. Whereas when you’re buying something off the shelf, that’s not necessarily that course that tells you how to do everything. It could be the best course in the world. Like you said, we, we both agree there is every strategy works. If you, as you’ve said, work the strategy, but sometimes you need to go, well, actually that doesn’t quite fit, or We need to tweak that, or let’s move that, or let’s do this.

So. Just talk to me about the business today then, because obviously you started in the beauty industry, so are you still focused on the beauty industry? Have you moved out of the beauty [00:31:00] industry? How’s it looking today?

Jessica: Yeah, so I would just say really we’ve naturally evolved. I think you evolve as a person, you evolve as a business owner, so we’ve still got our beauty courses and programs.

They still run, but then we’ve developed a second new brand, which is the SheEO collective, which is for female entrepreneurs. So, and we do get a lot of those clients come over to here. So in this brand, we are launching a clothing company under that brand this summer. Which is gonna be phenomenal. And that also supports women’s refuge.

And we have affiliate programs available with that so that people can still earn money even by purchase clothing. We have digital courses and programs, but then ultimately we have our mastermind, our SheEo collective mastermind, which is business owners, which, you know, we just said, you know, some of the guys in there, they are like 6, 7, 8 figure business men who are looking for [00:32:00] multiple streams of income.

They’re looking to have digital products, they’ve got services, physical products. They’re looking to really diversify their income and wealth. We have a financial advisor in there who sets them up, pension stocks, shares, investments, like this is really taking these business owners to like wealthy status from business.

And it is, you know, traffic, different traffic sources and ads, all the different funnels. So in there we have the VSL funnel that I run that’s made 3 million. We have challenge funnels that are live and automated. We have, you know, the webinars, the sales pages, all of the environments, and then we help them craft out that product suite.

’cause often I find there’s. There’s holes missing in each. Yeah, and you need to like plug those holes from traffic to funnels to their product suite. Yeah, so they’ve got really nice seamless client journey that’s like this ecosystem that just keeps us going round and round and [00:33:00] round. Right? Yeah. And then like me, they might wanna go into property and something that they’re putting one element, one business money into another so that it, it’s creating assets and it’s creating long-term wealth and assets.

And I think that more women need to be doing stuff like that in their business.

Teresa: Yeah, it’s so funny ’cause at the point of recording this, I dunno if it was yesterday or day before, I’ve just interviewed Joe Simpson and she Exactly. We talked about the same thing and I was saying to her at the time that that wealth piece never even entered my head.

Like I never felt that it was ever an option, as in to earn money in a business and then invest it somewhere else to make money. And I feel like. It’s not, I don’t think it’s, you know, accident that I’ve had people come on and say these things because I think the more that we hear about it, the more that we talk about, the more that we need to do it, the more that we need to go.

You know? And you, from what you’ve said already, you know, you had a husband who obviously had a successful career, you [00:34:00] could have gone, well, I’ve just moved. I can’t do my business and I’ll just sit at home. Be the person who looks after the kids. Like you could have, but you didn’t, and you went straight in and started creating this business and doing this thing, and what’s, what lights you up?

What makes you excited now?

Jessica: So I think, I think that for me, that that’s always been within me, right? So I, I’m very self-sufficient. I’d say my earliest memory. And goal even was to be financially secure. So I grew up in an environment where we would spend weekends in women’s hostels surrounded by domestic violence, domestic abuse, a lot of mental, physical, emotional abuse, and.

A lot of people in that environment used to say to me, that’s gonna be you. Like you are, that’s gonna be your life forever. And so I used to kind of think, well, if it’s not, that’s really gonna like piss you off. So, so I was like, I’m gonna be financially independent that I don’t need [00:35:00] anybody. I’m like, even to this day, I’m like, I could blow my life up tomorrow.

I don’t need anybody. I don’t have to ask anybody for anything. I don’t, I don’t ask for permission to do anything, go anywhere. And, and that for me is like my whole life goal and purpose was to be that, to be that free and have that independence. I think your relationships and the people that you have should add to you, like add to your life.

But they’re not the be all an end all. Like I don’t ever wanna rely on somebody. That to me was never an option. I want somebody who’s got their own thing and they’re happy doing what they’re doing and I’ve got my own thing and I’m wanna be successful in my own right. I think I actually found it hard because in that environment a lot of women are like that and their goal is to be with this person.

Yeah. And not, not do anything. And that’s cool if that’s what you wanna do, but that’s not. [00:36:00] That’s not me. Right. You find it hard to actually find people, and I think that’s why I turned mentors so quickly and so early because I didn’t have anybody in my network Yeah. Or around me that was doing what I was doing or what I wanted to do.

Teresa: Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. So what is the long-term goal for the business?

Jessica: So we want to take the SHEEO Collective as a global brand. So we’re really passionate that every single one of our products makes women money and obviously it supports women’s refuge. So it’s really that we wanna ha keep having this ripple effect of.

The people that we directly impact, that will filter down to their children, their children’s children, because the created generational wealth. Yeah. Like somebody’s unborn grandchild will have wealth. ’cause we’ve taught them. Yeah. Like that is, that is our goal. That is our legacy, and that’s what we wanna do more of.

Teresa: That’s huge. [00:37:00] Your children, are they girls or boys?

Jessica: I’ve got one of each, so I’ve got, she’s 10 and Hunter, he’s nine.

Teresa: What do they think of you and what you do and what understanding? I’m always intrigued because obviously I have a 15-year-old girl going on 25. She’s a right sassy thing, and, and I’m always blown away by the schooling system of get a job and be a good employee and like, and how frustrating that is and how actually no, do what you wanna do and be passionate and love something and like what do they think of what you do.

Jessica: Okay, so Hunter still calls me a scammer.

Teresa: A scammer. Brilliant.

Jessica: He’s like people, he can’t wrap his head around it. So he plays football. He’s in, been in several academies. He’s gonna be a footballer in his mind, right? Okay. So understands that mom’s gonna invest his money and that you have to invest money.

Like even if he gets birthday money, he is like, I’ll put some in [00:38:00] my eyes, sir. I’ll do this. Like he understand. Money and wealth and all these things. What? He can’t wrap his head around. He’s like, people pay you to speak to you. And I’m like, yes. He’s like, I would pay you not to speak to me, not to tell me off, not to.

He’s like, I don’t understand. He’s like, you are a scammer. You are. And I was.

Teresa: Brilliant. Thanks.

Jessica: He does not understand. Like as a business model, whereas my daughter, she gets it. She’s all she’s interested in now is that she wants to work in the clothing line side, she’s very like fashion, beauty, skin, skincare, all that stuff.

She’s like, I’m gonna run business. I’m gonna, that’s gonna be mine. The property, they’re involved in the property business a little bit. So some we’ve gone out and ripped out ourselves and they’ve come and, and all of that stuff. ’cause we are trying to teach them like. You’ve, you’ve gotta go and make your own money.

Yeah. There [00:39:00] you, you, you might have the same problem as me. Like your kids are almost a bit delusional in the world that they live in because you can provide that for them. They go on nice holidays, we have a nice house, we have a nice car. They’ve gotta understand that they’ve almost got this expectation of living.

Mm-hmm. You’ve, you’ve gotta be able to go out into the world and create that for yourself now. Yeah. And I think as parents, it’s our job to guide them and give them the schools, the, the, the tools, the knowledge, the skills, yeah. That they’re not gonna learn at school how they go and do that.

Teresa: Yeah. Yeah. I love it.

I love it. Jessica, this has been really, really awesome and it’s been really fascinating to hear how you. Like it kind of is so self-fulfilling. Like I’m not surprised having had this conversation. I’m not surprised you’re as successful as you are. I’m not surprised you’ve got the business that you have because you are so flippin driven.

And I think it’s interesting because people would have misconceptions about people in the beauty industry and. [00:40:00] Like how fierce they are as business people and what they know and whatever. And you are just like, you are one of the fiercest people I think I’ve met. Like you are going for it. Your head’s down, you are in it, you’re doing it.

And. There’s no surprise that you’ve been successful because it makes perfect sense with everything you said, so amazing. Jessica, where can people find out more about you if they wanna come in and find out more?

Jessica: Absolutely. So come over and join the SHEEO Collective Instagram. Come. We’ve got events coming up.

We’ve got in-person events, online events, the clothing line. We’ve got digital products and courses. We’ve got our 3 million pound funnel that you can purchase, like our SheEO Collective Mastermind. We’ve got absolutely loads of stuff going on, so come and check out our community here we are, what we do, and how we can help you create generational wealth.

Teresa: I love it. Jessica, thank you so much for being on the podcast.

Jessica: Thanks, Teresa.
